New term, new beginning!

The new term of Penang Toastmasters Club was kick-started with a blast!! The first meeting of the new term was on 10 July, 2012. The theme of the meeting was "New beginning". Thanks to all the members and guests who turned up, we had a room full of people learning and having fun at the same time. The meeting went on very smoothly, with a few non-toastmasters guests joining the meeting for their first time. Some guests were as young as 14 years old! They are looking for ways to help themselves to become better communicators and have more confidence in public speaking! We sincerely hope that their search for an efficient learning program will end in Toastmasters, specifically, at Penang Toastmasters Club :)
Our first meeting also marked the official start of our new member, Lim Ewe Huat! After attending our meetings as guest for a few times, he decided not to let go of a great opportunity to become a learning member of Penang Toastmasters Club! Welcome, Ewe Huat! We are looking forward to your ice-breaker speech! :)
Apart from the speech assignments by Patrick Cheah and Selvaraj, all other attendees were given opportunities to speak up! With the theme of "New Beginning", attendees were talking about what they intended to do as a new beginning for themselves. If you have not visited any Toastmasters club before, why not set a goal to visit us the coming next meeting?! That is a new beginning for you to find out how Toastmasters can change your life.
Fun and fellowship among attendees were not to be forgotten. We also celebrated birthdays of July, August and September babies. Happy birthday to Gurmeet Singh, Yeap Chee Wei, and Patrick Cheah!
All in all, this is another successful meeting. See you in the next coming meeting on 24 July, 2012!
